This worked, even now. I wanted to play this game as an American, but even after signing up for a NetEase account with a +86 country code VoIP phone number, the game client told me I had to verify a Chinese identity on NetEase's website. I wasn't willing to go that far, hence I chose to buy an existing account.

The game itself I've barely played, but I kinda realized that I don't like it or MMOs in general.
